LC cylinder nuts keep getting loose

Hi

I've tried high torque and LockTite. But the cylinder nuts on my water cooled motor keep getting loose every 500Km. So I have to remove the watter jacket every time I have to retorque them darn nuts!
Any tricks to keep these water submerged nuts from getting loose ?

Thanks
Juan

maybe you're not torquing them down enough? could be your cylinder studs are stretching or worse the threads in the crankcase are starting to strip which is a bad thing.

As others said use the right torque and tighten the nuts crosswise. Heat-up the engine then check the nuts with torque wrench again!

14.5 lbs=19.65 Nm it's too much!!!

For cast iron LC cylinder 14 Nm
For aluminium LC cylinder 10-12 Nm
