17.5mm Dellorto problems

I am still having problems with my carb. It starts to flood immediatly when I put on the gas. I have a 72 main jet. What should I change? What does the pilot change? I think Im gonna try to move the needle position tomorrow. It doesnt work at all with a 80 or 93 main jet. I think the pilot is alot wrong because before I had a TNT Helix filter which put on and "tuned" up at a work shop. I dont know what they did with it but it ran with a 93 jet. Now I have a Malossi Red Sponge in the stock air filter box. Help needed...

Im runńing a Polini 70ccm Sport @ LeoVince Zx & almost a full package of other parts in the engine.

It begins flooding with even the slightest twist of the throttle, or at full throttle? One of the important parts of carb diagnosing is sorting at which throttle position the problem is occuring. From there we can probably reccomend what adjustment needs to take place.

If it's flooding as soon as you begin turning the throttle, then you're probably right on the pilot jet. Sometimes different taper/width needles can be used also.

My BW 50cc is running a 95 main with the needle in either the highest or 2nd highest clip with a stock airbox and mallosi red sponge. When I changed from the stock filter to the mallosi it flowed more air and needed a richer main. But when i did this it moved the power up and at the same time needed a lower needle position (higher clip). I dropped the roller weight by 1 gram and things are cool. Before the roller change it couldn't pull the revs and would bog loading up the motor until about 65kmh when it would clean itself out of the extra fuel.

My suggestion is to keep the carb set as it is until you can change to a lower weight roller so it can rev itself out. If it is bogging it will appear really rich as the motor is loading up. With the proper roller it might just clear out the jetting issue or at least make it more clear as to what needs to be done.

Is the pilot jet the smallest one or the biggest one in the carb? There is the main jet 72, the bigger and longer jet is 50 and the small jet is 34. Roller weights are ok. The jetting is totally wrong - which setting should I try? Im totally out of ideas with the jetting.
