broken speedfight 2

Hello i have a 2002 speedfight 2 LC
about 1 month ago my water pump went and the scooter overheated
i got a new water pump but now the bike just isnt as fast
its fast up till 30mph then the revs die and it slowly gets to 40 and wont go any faster.
i have put in a new sparkplug and that didnt seem to make a difference
i was wondering if anyone knew what else i would need to change to get the bike back to normal.

you need a new cylinder you old one on the bike went through what is called a soft seizure. It has lost compression and caused a drop in performance.

ok thanks do i need a new cylinder and rings or a complete new bore and piston

completely new eveything cylinder, piston and rings.

quanni is right,

the compression in your cilinder is wrong... its not going through your spool gates, the cilinder got the wrong compression so it wont go faster.. you should buy a new cilinder.. thats the best thing you can do
