Pull the fuel line off the carb and check and see if you are getting fuel during cranking to the carb. This would be my first thing to check.
If so then pull the carb and check it out.

Start basic before jumping up and down

i've checked the lines, cleaned the carb out and still luck, the engine ticks over when you put petrol down the cylinder head but the carb is not letting fuel through the floats fill up but nothing else

You cleaned the entire carb? (took the jets out and cleaned them and their passages etc?)

yeah with an air compressor, could the mnaifold or the reeds be the problem?

If you're sure there's gasoline getting into the carb and from the carb into the airstream you could check the reeds.

Basically if they are missing some parts.

Generally it's a good idea to replace the stock steel reeds with aftermarket ones from for example carbon, since they have a much smaller chance of destroying your engine/cilinder if they break.
